Firestorm Aftermath

It’s been almost 6 months now since the devastating August 15th, McDougall Creek Fire, that swept through a large area of West Kelowna, Kelowna, and Winfield. Watching homes ignite, and then continue to burn to the ground was a gut-wrenching experience for us all. We all understand the investment that goes into our homes, including the many years of sentimental memories, the “love pains” of improvements, and the homely base of where life happens. When that suddenly changes, it’s a traumatic experience to say the least. The sudden tragic loss then becomes just the beginning of the trauma as the often very slow more technical process now begins. These are the defining the moments you begin to realize who’s is in your corner and who isn’t. These are times where choices matter.

Here at Landmark Homes & Design, we are expecting a higher volume of stress on the construction industry fall of 2024 due to the fire, and unfortunately this doesn’t always do great things for the quality and craftsmanship of our home building industry. Communications and fluidity between homeowner and builder can be poor to say the least. Landmark Homes & Designs is preparing for this extra load and are looking forward to making your home building experience as enjoyable as possible. We’ve taken on a new partner specializing in project management, structural integrities, and site fluidity. This partnership will allow the lanes of communication and connection to be much more prevalent during the process of construction, adding to our workload capacity while not compromising the personal creative flow Landmark Homes & Designs has to offer. We are a group of long local professionals, who’ve establish connections in this “small town” fast growing City. Please don’t hesitate in reaching out with any questions you may have today! We do look forward to meeting new future clients.
